Following the North Shore Eco Festival and Medicinal Weeds Tour, there was a visit from the students of nearby Bayswater Primary School, and it was a really big event.

The 136 children who participated in this visit were divided into smaller groups . The programme was a very rich combination of theory and hands on sensory experience.

After receiving 136 letter from the students, all with colour pictures, it really touched my heart and was a motivating force to strengthen our love of nature. That’s how the idea of Junior Assistants was born with the essential support of Dianne Cluett, a Bayswater Primary teacher
