(Ngataringa Community Garden event – Eco Festival)
Purpose:
- to give to the visitors especially children life experience of nature as a human friendly environment,
- to make them familiar with different herbs often named weeds having health benefits
- To allow visitors to sensorial experience of chosen herbs. (Dandelion, nettle, plantain, calendula and nasturtium )
- To put attention on symbiotic coexistence of the plants with chicken, bees and butterflies
- To expand their understanding of using of the plants as a ingredients of herbal ointments.( demonstration of hands massage technique from Children Massaging Children programme )
